Also, they sought to leverage technical and on-page SEO strategies to maximize ROI from their website while maintaining a strong focus on local SEO to dominate their service areas.

Achievements We Made

Boosting Local SEO and User Experience for Targeted Traffic and Conversions

The aim was to improve the website’s search rankings for local and service-related keywords, driving more targeted traffic. We fixed technical SEO issues, ensured important pages were discoverable, and created location-specific content. Consistent contact details and schema markup strengthened the local presence. Efforts also focused on boosting conversions and enhancing user experience with better page speed, navigation, and CTAs.

Rebranding from "Brightsuite" to Dominion Energy

The website, originally branded as Brightsuite, was migrated to a subdomain under the parent company, Dominion Energy. This change not only improved the website’s branding but also increased its domain authority and brought a substantial boost in website traffic.

Webiste Migration

The website was migrated from its previous domain to a new one, with careful attention given to ensuring that all pages, content, and functionality were successfully transferred. This migration resulted in several benefits. The overall domain authority of the website was enhanced due to its alignment with the parent company, Dominion Energy, which contributed to increased credibility and improved search engine rankings. Also, the migration led to a significant rise in website traffic, enabling the business to reach a broader audience.

Technical SEO Tasks

A comprehensive website audit was performed to identify and resolve issues like 404 errors, redirect loops, indexing problems, and crawl inefficiencies. Over 100, 404 errors were fixed by redirecting them to relevant service pages or removing unnecessary ones. The XML sitemap was updated to include all important pages while excluding duplicates or non-essential pages. Over 400 service and location pages were manually indexed using Google Search Console to improve discoverability. Website performance was enhanced by compressing images, implementing caching, and reducing server response time. The robots.txt file was optimized to allow search engines to crawl important areas and block irrelevant sections. Canonical tags were added to pages with duplicate content to ensure proper indexing and avoid penalties.

Location Pages

Name, Address, and Phone Number (NAP) were consistently displayed at the top of each location page for SEO and user convenience. Service highlight blocks were designed to showcase key offerings at each location with icons and brief descriptions. Location-specific testimonials were added to build trust and showcase customer satisfaction. An optimized contact form was included to allow users to book appointments or make inquiries easily. Local SEO content blocks were created to incorporate area-specific keywords, highlights, and unique selling points. A collapsible FAQ section tailored to common questions about the location’s services was integrated. Schema elements, such as FAQ, local business, and review schemas, were suggested for rich features. A “Nearby Locations” section was added to guide users to explore other branches in the area.

Content Optimization

Extensive keyword research was conducted to identify high-potential local keywords, competitor strategies, and related terms for targeting. Existing service pages were reviewed and updated with optimized headers, targeted keywords, and engaging call-to-action elements. Meta titles, descriptions, and alt texts were optimized across all pages to improve click-through rates and SEO relevance. A strategic internal linking structure was implemented to distribute link equity between service and location pages effectively. Unique content was created for service area pages, focusing on local keywords and customer-centric solutions.

Schema Implementation Tasks

LocalBusiness schema was added to highlight key business details, including name, address, phone number (NAP), and operating hours. Service schema was implemented for specific services to improve search visibility and relevance. FAQ schema was integrated into service pages to address common customer questions, making the site eligible for rich snippets. Review schema was added to display customer testimonials, building trust and boosting click-through rates. Breadcrumb schema was implemented to enhance site navigation and help search engines understand the site’s hierarchy.

Remarkable SEO Achievements

By December 2024, we generated 4,031 organic visits, supported by strong year-over-year gains across high-intent solar keywords and improved visibility from top-performing service and location pages. In total, 137 keywords ranked in the top 3, 496 keywords ranked in positions 4–10, and 6,651 keywords ranked in the top 100.
